ProScale Model 580 Measuring System

The ProScale Model 580 uses Incremental inductive measurement technology.
It is a general purpose measuring device with an integrated iGlide
® friction bearing system. The Model 580 uses a custom extrusion design incorporating a dual rail for the bearings. A sliding carriage assembly captures the Encoder and moves along the scale minimizing pitch & yaw of the encoder for the utmost in accuracy and repeatability.
The Model 580 was designed as a stand alone measuring system or to be the foundation of systems designed by end users for their particular dimensional measurement applications.


Features:

  • No Gap to Set: All ProScale Encoders are "captive" on the measuring Scale so you never need to worry about setting or resetting the Encoder gap.

  • Battery or 12-24 VDC Operation: Several Readouts are available that operate on 1 CR123 Lithium battery, or 12-24 VDC.

  • Enhanced In-Place Accuracy: Model 580 systems may be ordered with a General Purpose Digital Readout incorporating non-linear scaling and temperature compensation.

  • High Speed Encoder: The carriage/encoder can be moved up to 60 inches per second

  • Versatility: The carriage plate has several holes predrilled for mounting the Digital Readout, a wireless data transmitter, a handle or other user features as required for the user's application.

  • Scalability: The Model 580 supports multiple Encoders and Readouts operating simultaneously on the same Scale.

  • Wireless Flexibility: ProScale Encoders or Readouts can be equipped with our 2 way ProRF-SPC or ProRF-Encoder wireless data systems.

Model 580 Encoder:


The default Encoder-Readout cable length for Model 580  is 8 inches (200mm).
Other available lengths are: 12, 24, 72, 240 and 360 inches (300mm, 600mm, 1800mm, 6m and 9m).
Any custom length cable from 4 inches to 360 inches (100mm - 9m) may be specially ordered.
 


Model 380 Accessories:

      ProRF SPC Wireless Data Transmitter.  Works with any Readout with an SPC output.  Use Universal RF Receiver with RS232 or USB output.             ProRF Encoder system is used to eliminate long cables between the Encoder and Readout or PC.  Use with Encoder Receiver or Universal RF Receiver             Universal RF Receiver.  Works with ProRF SPC or ProRF Encoder systems to prove a wireless data network to a PC via RS232 or USB.             Converts measurement/position data range to a 0-5 or 0-10 vdc signal.
