ProRF Encoder Transmitter: For applications where a long cable (more than 20 feet / 6 meters) between the encoder and readout is necessary, the ProRF Encoder Transmitter can be used instead. The Transmitter can send position data to two different receiver types, up to 100 feet away. The transmitter is powered by a long-life lithium battery, capable of up to 1 million position transmissions, or 2 years service life. Transmissions are two-way, ensuring successful communication between devices. |

The first receiver (called Encoder Receiver) can be used to connect directly to a digital readout. The receiver emulates the encoder signal (the readout thinks the encoder is plugged in directly). This receiver includes a plug-in transformer and a low battery indicator (for the transmitter's battery status). The second receiver (called Computer Receiver) can be used to connect directly to a computer's serial or USB port. The output can be used for quality control, documentation, or even to produce an extra large readout (on the computer's monitor). This receiver includes a plug-in transformer (used when connected to serial port), a low battery indicator (for the transmitter's battery), numerical input indicators (to indicate which transmitter the signal originated from), and diagnostic indicator lights and codes.
