For transmitting the SPC data over long distances (up to 100 feet, environmentally dependent), nothing beats an RF (radio frequency) system.  The receiver connects to a computer via USB or a serial port. 

The measurement displayed is transmitted, plus readout ID number, node ID number, signal strength, and more.  For more information, see: ProScale-RF Wireless SPC transmission. Up to 63 transmitters can be used with a single receiver.
