The ProRF SPC transmitter and receiver system is designed to wirelessly send position data from a ProScale Readout to a PC.  The SPC transmitter plugs into any ProScale readout that is equipped with an SPC data output port.  The ProRF receiver connects to the PC via a USB cable or DB-9 RS-232 serial port.  When using the USB port, a Windows® driver must be installed on the PC that allows the receiver to appear as a virtual COM port.

Generally, the wireless system is used with WedgeLink software.  This optional software "listens" for data to arrive from the receiver and then transfers the data to the currently active Windows® application.  In most cases, this is usually an Excel® spreadsheet.

Once installed, the user simply launches and minimizes the WedgeLink software, opens Excel®, clicks on the first cell to populate with data and presses the SEND button on the ProScale readout.  Each time the SEND button is pressed, the next cell in Excel is populated with new data.

The ProRF receiver can support up to 8 SPC or Encoder Transmitters at the same time.  The ProRF receiver can be configured via terminal software for a number of different output formats including position only, position plus reporting measurement units and position, measurement units and transmitter ID.

Product includes: One ProRF Receiver, one SPC transmitter with battery, USB cable, manuals and USB memory stick with drivers for Windows® 7, 8 and 10, manuals in PDF form and a demo version of Wedgelink software.
