Accurate
Technology
(ATI) manufactures
ProScale®, and other linear measuring
products based on capacitive encoding or
inductive encoding technology.
ProScale
digital measuring systems are affordable digital measuring devices for making
linear measurements with speed, accuracy and repeatability. Our
primary markets are applications requiring measurement accuracy equal
to, or better than, a traditional tape measure but not as precise as
high accuracy digital measuring systems. Our digital "fractions to
10 microns" measuring range provides users with repeatable measurement
and positioning capabilities with the added benefit of data output and
transmission to other devices such as a PC.
A typical ProScale measuring system consists of an
extruded aluminum Scale, an Encoder or readhead, and a Digital Readout. The
Scale consists of a series of conductive patterns on a circuit board(s)
which is then bonded to the aluminum extrusion.
The Encoder transmits and receives signals
to/from the scale to determine it's position. The Encoder is
non-contact and remains captive on the scale so it never requires any
adjustment of the measuring 'gap'. The Digital Readout, many
powered by only 2AA batteries, displays measurement information from the
Encoder in
fractions, decimal inches, centimeters, or millimeters.
Accurate Technology started in Kirkland
Washington in 1989. The company's first product was a general purpose
measuring system called ProScale Model 100, an incremental capacitive
encoder with a custom digital readout.
In 1996,
ATI introduced ProScale Model 150, an absolute capacitive encoder with
more readout choices and capabilities.
In 1997 the founder of ATI retired and it's current owner and president
assumed control of the company. In 1998 ATI moved it's operations
to Asheville North Carolina where it designs and manufactures all of its
products today.
In 2007, ATI introduced ProScale Model 180,
an incremental inductive encoder that is nearly as robust as
the absolute technology, but offers higher sensor movement (speed).
During our 20 year history we have developed many custom and application
specific products for the woodworking and quality control markets.
Today, many of those custom products, along with 6 different ProScale
models are sold worldwide.
Ed Fiantaca, owner and president of ATI
remains an active part of the day-to-day operations of the company.
We remain proud that our products are all designed produced in the
United States by dedicated quality minded employees. |
